The following police reports were obtained in September of 2025 through freedom of information laws. The reports pertain to incidents involving Luke Wenke that took place in Olean, New York throughout 2023 following his release from federal prison.
Incident #1:
The first report, dated 05/18/2023, was filed after a local resident’s surveillance camera captured footage of Luke Wenke leaving a religious statue and a two-page letter in the bushes outside their house. The report states that while the letter was not outright threatening, it didn’t make much sense, and the complainants requested that Luke Wenke stay away from their property. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact Wenke directly, the police got in touch with Wenke’s federal probation officer, who advised him against returning to the residence.
Incident #2:
The second report details a requested welfare check that was placed on June 18th, 2023. According to the report, a concerned civilian had contacted law enforcement after Luke Wenke became aggressive toward their mother over the phone, prompting an apparent concern for Wenke’s wellbeing. Officers spoke with Wenke, who said that he had become upset over his ongoing legal troubles. After determining that he needed no further assistance, the police left his house.
This sounds similar to the circumstances under which I called the Olean Police and requested a welfare check on Luke Wenke back in 2020 or 2021. Wenke became extremely distraught during a phone/text conversation because I was too busy working to devote my full attention to him while he was upset over something (I think he was mad about not having access to his romantic obsession, Ryan). After Wenke’s conduct escalated past a point that I was willing to tolerate, I called the Olean Police and asked them to go check on him. I recall Wenke later telling me that the police filled out a report, which he hoped to use in a lawsuit against Ryan’s family for emotional distress. But he was not taken to the hospital, which disappointed me because he had threatened self-harm and I personally think that should’ve been enough for the cops to make him go to the emergency room.
Incident #3:
The third police report was taken on June 23rd, 2023 (just six days after the aforementioned incident) after Luke Wenke went radio silent on his boss while in possession of a company vehicle. He had fallen out of touch because he had been remanded into custody for a federal probation violation charge, and his boss was apparently trying to retrieve the van but didn’t know where the keys were. The police advised the complainant to have the vehicle towed.
Incident #4:
The fourth and final police report is a harassment complaint that an officer filled out on August 18th, 2023 after Luke Wenke tried getting me arrested on bogus harassment allegations. That afternoon, I received a call from the officer, who asked me what was going on between myself and Luke Wenke. I explained that I simply wanted to be left alone and that I wanted zero contact, but that Luke Wenke had repeatedly gone against these wishes. The officer told me that I was doing the right thing and to continue with my no-contact approach to the situation, and the conversation ended.
Based on Luke Wenke’s social media posts that day, I had the sneaking suspicion that he had tried to file a false harassment report claiming that I had contacted him. I later emailed the police chief with a comprehensive timeline of the stalking and harassment I had endured thus far, along with evidence of repeated unwanted contact from Luke Wenke and his mother. The next day, an officer called me and encouraged me to pursue an order of protection while saying that they would look into the harassment, but the case never went anywhere (arguably owing to Wenke’s very deliberate tendency to toe the line without crossing it, or to only cross it in ways that are difficult to convince cops to pursue an investigation over).
