A Quick Synopsis of Luke Wenke’s Legal Woes

Over a several-year period starting in 2020 and continuing into the present day, Luke Wenke of Olean, New York has engaged in numerous interpersonal disputes resulting in two federal cyberstalking cases against him. His first case began in late January of 2022 after the FBI arrested him for threatening and harassing a criminal defense lawyer in Minnesota.

The case persisted long past Wenke’s prison release date due to repeated probation violations, during which time Wenke landed back behind bars for nearly two years. In December 2025, less than two months after his most recent release from prison, Luke Wenke was arrested on a second federal cyberstalking charge. He’s accused of targeting a court official who oversaw his previous cyberstalking case and is being held without bail at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester, New York pending the outcome of his current charges.

(NOTE: If you’re extra familiar with the Luke Wenke saga, you probably know that his problematic behavior began many years before he was arrested for it (i.e. Topix, etc.). I can personally vouch for this, and I think it’s important to shed light on this time period. But because those earlier events weren’t considered as part of Luke Wenke’s criminal cases, I’ll discuss them in separate articles from my material discussing his legal charges.)

Early Online Disputes and Initial Incidents (2019–2020)

Those who are extra familiar with Luke Wenke’s past know that his alleged stalking and harassment date back to a much earlier time than 2019. I can personally vouch for this and I think it’s an important chapter to shed light on, but those allegations were never a factor in Wenke’s criminal cases, so I’ll discuss them in a separate section of this website to avoid confusion.

The earliest incidents connected to Luke Wenke’s criminal cases took place starting in 2020 after he traveled to Minneapolis during the George Floyd protests to stalk his romantic obsession, Ryan (also sometimes referred to as “Benjamin”). As Wenke’s behavior grew increasingly volatile, his targets began saving evidence of his harassment, including screenshots of social media posts and harassing correspondence that was received both online and in the mail.

While Luke Wenke’s social media accounts associated with this early stage have been mostly suspended and/or deactivated, evidence exists in the form of screenshots and court-documented complaints to law enforcement.

Escalation of Harassment & Threatening Communications (2021–2022)

Over a two-year period leading up to his first federal arrest, Luke Wenke’s conflicts with others intensified noticeably. Communications attributed to Luke Wenke increasingly included hostile language, repeated attempts to contact individuals who wanted to be left alone, and statements that were perceived as threatening or intimidating. During this time, Wenke’s victims continued to save evidence of the unwanted correspondence and of Wenke’s harassing behavior.

These communications occurred across several platforms, including in social media posts and via private communications. In many instances, screenshots were preserved shortly after the messages were sent in order to document the unwanted contact and prevent the loss of evidence if posts were later deleted or edited (which, as it turns out, seems to have happened fairly often). Many of these communications are included in this website’s Evidence Screenshot Archive, where individual messages and posts are documented in chronological order.

Federal Investigation and Criminal Charges

Luke Wenke’s seemingly endless interpersonal disputes caught the attention of law enforcement, landing him at the center of a nearly two-year-long federal investigation that began in 2020. He was arrested by the FBI for his first cyberstalking charge in late January of 2022 and was released from prison the following year.

While on probation, Luke Wenke was charged multiple times with violating the conditions of his supervision. Every charge stemmed from allegations that Wenke had contacted victims in violation of court-imposed contact bans and state-issued orders of protection, which Wenke was required to abide by as a contingency of his probation. He spent around two additional years in custody due to his repeated alleged violations and underwent multiple court-ordered mental evaluations to gauge his ability to participate in his case.

In April of 2025, after being deemed competent but mentally ill, Luke Wenke was ordered to undergo involuntary treatment at a federal medical prison. He was released in October and spent two months in the free world before landing back in custody in December for his current cyberstalking charge.

Wenke is currently being held without bond at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester, New York amid his ongoing case. During his current stint behind bars, he has continued sending hostile letters to the court and various other recipients. Many of these letters are about myself and other victims, whom Wenke seems intent on exacting revenge against for perceived injustices that he blames us for. He has even attempted to file a civil lawsuit against me containing blatantly false allegations that I conspired against him with the federal government, among other outlandish claims.

I’ll continue to update this website as the case unfolds.

This website is also a personal blog.

If you don’t already know, I was close friends with Luke Wenke for many years before I became one of his stalking victims. One of my primary reasons for creating this website is because it allows me to tell my story. I spent several years living in silence, shame, and fear, even staying off social media for a large portion of that time period. In addition to my desire to protect my privacy and safety, I wanted to do the “right thing” and behave perfectly so that the authorities would hopefully see that I wasn’t instigating, inviting, or provoking Luke Wenke’s relentless stalking and harassment.

I eventually realized that I was not dealing with the version of the American justice system that I was taught existed when I was growing up. It’s something entirely different, and it only narrowly helped me when it came to my desperation for Luke Wenke to stop harassing, stalking, and slandering me. For the most part, I was on my own, and since Wenke’s rights seem to matter infinitely more to certain authority figures and agencies than his victims’ safety, I realized that I do not owe those entities my continued silence and that I have every right to share my truth.

But I place a high importance on discerning fact from feelings and opinions, so I’m going to do my best to be clear about this distinction in my content. As a general guideline, I urge anyone to treat my words as subjective and most likely biased. If you’re seeking the straight facts without my perspective, I recommend deferring strictly to the court documents and public records that are available here and tuning me out entirely.
