The following records were obtained through New York’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL). They pertain to Luke Wenke’s outgoing mail from three different detention facilities that he stayed in over a 14-month period starting in June of 2023 for violating federal probation. During that time, Luke Wenke sent more than 200 letters to various recipients, including at least one victim who had a no-contact order of protection against him at the time.
At least one other recipient had previously complained to the Olean Police about unwanted correspondence from Luke Wenke. According to police reports, the police had advised Wenke in 2023 that the recipient wanted no contact, but the household has received mail from Wenke as recently as the fall of 2025, shortly before his release from federal prison.
Also included among the letters’ recipients are Kamala Harris, former U.S. President Joe Biden, the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, various federal judges (including several who are uninvolved in Wenke’s case), former Olean Mayor Bill Aiello, a county legislator, a CCSE Federal Credit Union employee, and Life22 podcast host Kevin Dougherty — just to name a few.
Almost No One Wrote Back to Luke Wenke,
but he continued sending copious amounts of mail to those individuals.
Despite sending more than 200 letters during his time at the three jails, Luke Wenke only received a handful in return, much of which appears to be legal mail and correspondence with an elderly family friend, along with one Amazon delivery and at least one piece of mail that was labelled “RETURN TO SENDER.”
I’m currently working to obtain additional correspondence logs from the various correctional facilities that Luke Wenke has been housed in over the last few years, but certain jurisdictions and agencies are more willing to hand them over than others. One particularly difficult law enforcement agency supposedly hasn’t received the three checks I’ve sent in an attempt to pay for records, and they apparently don’t accept electronic payment. But the public has a legal right to the material I’m asking for, and I’m pretty sure there are limits to how long they can dick me around for. I’m thinking about driving to pick the records up (it’s a bit of a drive), because then I can just hand over the payment directly and they can’t conveniently “lose” it.
For now, here’s what I have. Please note that I redacted certain information from these documents to protect recipients’ privacy. If you’d like to examine the records as I received them (with no changes made by myself), please reach out to me privately through this website’s Facebook page. Please also contact me if you’d like your information obscured from these documents.
Luke Wenke Jail Mail Logs:
Chautauqua County | 06/20/2023-08/10/2023
Luke Wenke sent the following letters while on federal remand at the Cattaraugus County Jail in Little Valley, New York for violating his supervised release by contacting one of his victims. The two items highlighted in blue are letters that Wenke sent to the mother of his romantic obsession, Ryan, in violation of a no-contact order of protection. As I just mentioned, Wenke was already locked up for similar conduct at the time, yet he continued contacting his victims despite any legal risks involved, proving that he has no respect, whatsoever, for rules or boundaries.

Cattaraugus County | 10/04/2023-12/08/2023
Luke Wenke sent the following letters from the Cattaraugus County Jail in Little Valley, New York, where he was detained between 10/04/2023 and 12/08/2023 for contacting multiple victims in violation of protective orders and court-imposed contact bans. Once again, the items highlighted in blue are letters Wenke sent to his romantic obsession’s family in violation of a state-issued protective order.
Prior to his arrest for this batch of charges, Wenke had mailed me letters despite being prohibited from contacting me as a condition of his federal supervised release. Nothing was done when he continued to contact me through third parties, even though indirect contact constituted a violation of the ban. Given the amount of harassment he’s gotten away with, it doesn’t surprise me that he doesn’t take the law seriously and thinks he’s above it. Why would he feel any other way?

Orleans County | 12/14/2023-08/16/2024
Luke Wenke sent the following letters while on federal remand at the Orleans County Jail in Albion, New York for probation violation charges between mid-December 2023 and mid=August 2024.
The handwritten log is disorganized and difficult to read, so I included an organized and chronological list below it in a separate PDF viewer. Please note: the typed list is not a word-for-word transcription of the original (I reorganized, fixed misspelled info, etc.), but it accurately reflects the original copy to the best of my ability (I included both so my copy can be compared against the handwritten version if needed).
