In a July 1, 2024 letter to the federal court, Luke Wenke complains that someone compared him to the Tops supermarket shooter and strongly rejects the comparison. Wenke calls the comparison arrogant and insists that he does not have an “obsession” with guns.
Wenke instead points to Western New York politicians and the region’s opposition to New York gun-control laws before turning his attention to Katie and a member of her family. He questions why the relative was allegedly prepared to protect the home from a possible visit by one of Wenke’s former fellow inmates.
The letter also includes a lengthy discussion of Wenke’s past involvement with libertarian politics. He references the Libertarian National Convention, the Cattaraugus County Libertarian Party, political figures, anarchist ideology, firearms, marijuana, and heroin.
Wenke then complains that people from Buffalo have stereotyped him because he comes from a rural area, referring to them as “inner city libtard Democrat heavy crime ghetto Buffalo residents.”
He concludes by once again denying that he is mentally ill or a threat to public safety and questioning why Katie is permitted to see his court filings.

“I sent the last letter to the court before I was told my father had been interviewed. I continue to feel it necessary to send the court mail like this as much as since October there’s been times this format does not do any wonders.
“I am ‘complaining’ (to say the least) to someone else in writing over mail tonight. Outside of that, I do not have it in me to faux prosecute anyone anymore.
“So instead I will help the court with something else absolutely nobody on that interview list will know enough to talk about. ‘Ancapistan’ is libertarian anarchy fantasy land. It is the Land of Oz and it is that Seuss planet on the flower pollen in terms of libertarian anarchy alternate universe. From 2016 to 2017 I made the transition from running a Facebook page called ‘New Yorkers For Bernie Sanders’ after his April 2016 visit to the Rochester ice skating rink, to watching the YouTube show ‘Mr. Dapperton’; an anarchist themed cartoon podcast. Ancapistan fantasy land is first talked about on there. If you want to know where people at that 2024 Libertarian National Convention (that got in a fistfight with itself) get their political talking points like ‘I want gay married couples to protect their marijuana plants with AK47s’ then start by watching Mr. Dapperton on YouTube and all his Ancapistan fairy tale talking points. Austin Peterson of Missouri was the runner up after New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson in 2016 for the 2016 Libertarian presidential nomination. It is not hard to find videos of Austin Peterson saying things right on that debate stage like ‘5 year olds should be allowed to use heroin’ and ‘I want gay married couples to protect their weed plants with AK47s’. Penn Jillette has been quite friendly with Austin Peterson in the past too. At that long ago 2016 Libertarian National Convention on YouTube, you will see James Weeks of Michigan stripping naked right on stage…”

UPPER MARGIN: “Look up Emma Goldman of Rochester NY. World War One seamstress/anarchist. Free speech crime, wound up overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.”
“…as he ran for national chairman. I had James Weeks as one of two moderators at the 2019 Olean Libertarian presidential debate at the Olean High School.
“It is for this reason it is a whole new level of arrogance for one more person to compare me to the Tops Supermarket Shooter. Fuck him. Never mind the fact that he did that a month after this case’s guilty plea was accepted on paper. The very region we live in is Western New York and all people like Carl Paladino and George Borrello and David DiPietro do is complain about the NYSAFE Act.
“I don’t have an ‘obsession’ with guns. I would like to know why Katie [last name]’s [family member] (a homeowner, might I add) was obsessed with guns enough to sit in the house all day waiting to do something in the event of an imaginary home invasion by Damani Crolle of Niagara County. I’m sure she’s told all of you.
“Nathan Leaver wanted me to be a Freemason. He was at the founding of the Cattaraugus County Libertarian Party at Perkins of Olean December 2018.
“Not even the … family, my mother’s second husband’s family, ever hunted. They farm on [address] outside Salamanca.
“It sure gets old being stereotyped as someone from a rural region by a bunch of inner city libtard Democrat heavy crime ghetto Buffalo residents these last 2.5 years. Buffalo Republicans are RINOs.
“That’s all for now. I am not mentally ill nor am I a public safety threat. Please follow through on these interviews honestly. I don’t know why Katie needs to see this paperwork too like she gets to with everything else. -Luke Wenke”
